Connect Your AI to BizeBinder
Imagine finishing a ChatGPT conversation and saying "save to BizeBinder" and watching it instantly appear in the right tab of your binder. No copy-pasting. No forgetting. Every insight, automatically organised.
🎒 Before You Start: You Only Need 2 Things
This takes 60 seconds. Get these two numbers and you're ready.
Thing 1: Your API Key
This is your secret password that lets AI tools talk to your binder. You'll generate it once and then paste it into your AI settings.
How to get it:
- Open Settings in BizeBinder
- Click "API Keys" section
- Click "Generate Key", give it a name
- Copy the key: looks like
bize_abc123…
Thing 2: Your Binder ID
A short number (like 42 or 107) that identifies which binder the AI saves to. You find it in Settings right next to your API key.
How to find it:
- Open Settings → API Keys
- Look for "Your Binder & Tab IDs"
- Click your binder name to expand it
- See the number next to "Binder ID:": copy it

Open ChatGPT and click your profile
Go to chatgpt.com. Look in the bottom-left corner for your name or a profile picture. Click it.

Click "Customize ChatGPT"
A small menu pops up above your name. You will see several options: click "Customize ChatGPT".
A dialog box opens. Use the BOTTOM text box
You will see a dialog with two text boxes. The top one is about you. You want the BOTTOM one ("How would you like ChatGPT to respond?"). That is where you paste the BizeBinder instructions.

Get your two numbers first
Before you paste, you need two things from BizeBinder. Open Settings → API Keys in a new tab. You'll find:

Looks like
bize_abc123…: click "Generate Key" if you don't have one yet, then copy it. - 🔢
Your Binder ID
A short number (like
42). Find it under "Your Binder & Tab IDs": click your binder name and the number appears next to it.
Copy, fill in your details, and paste
Copy the instructions below. Replace YOUR_API_KEY and YOUR_BINDER_ID with your actual values, then paste the whole thing into the BOTTOM box from Step 3.

When I say "save to BizeBinder" (optionally with a tab name or note), do this:
1. Identify the content to save: what I just said, or what you last wrote.
2. Write a clear title (5–10 words) summarising the content.
3. POST to the Smart Add URL:

4. Tell me: "Saved to BizeBinder ✓, [title] filed under [tab name from response]"
The BizeBinder AI automatically chooses the right tab. You do NOT need a section ID.
If I mention a tab name (e.g. "save to BizeBinder, Marketing"), include it in the content.Click Save: you're done!
Click the black Save button. That's it. Every ChatGPT conversation from this moment on can save directly to your binder.

In any ChatGPT chat, whenever you want to save something, just say:
The AI automatically picks the right tab for your content. You don't have to specify one.
What about Perplexity?
Perplexity is a research and search AI: it's designed to find and summarise information from the web, not to connect to external services or save data. It doesn't support custom instructions that persist between sessions, and it cannot make HTTP requests to the BizeBinder API.
What to do instead: Use Perplexity to research a topic, then copy the answer and paste it into your binder manually: or open ChatGPT/Claude alongside it and say save to BizeBinder: [paste the Perplexity answer here]. Best of both worlds: Perplexity's research depth + BizeBinder's automatic filing.
